Ho'oponopono...
There is a beautiful story about Dr Ihalaekala Hew Len who was a therapist at the Hawaii State Hospital for the criminally insane. He cured an entire ward of people by simply reading their files and practicing the healing of ho-oponopno which is simply saying the following phrases:
I’m sorry
Please forgive me
Thank you
I love you
This came to mind as I was feeling some heavy feelings this morning. Last night I came home from work and was so exhausted. I had bought a new brand of potato chip and a new healthier version of a cookie and proceeded to eat more than was helpful for me (my body really needed me to drink some water and go to sleep). I was allowing the feelings of judgement and shame when this came to mind. I’m sorry, please forgive me, thank you , I love you. What if moving forward and forgiving ourselves for not standing up for our goals, not choosing to align with our Highest Truth is as simple as saying these four simple phrases?
The beauty is in simplicity. So I choose to begin my day as follows:
I’m sorry.
Please forgive me.
Thank you.
I love you.
May this create the space of love and safety and peace that I crave. Are you in?
Much love,
Jules ❤
